Alternative Tourism CEDA

As an important part of our activities, we offer training and tourism services in the Center for Dynamic Environmental Education (CEDA). The Center is located on a 5 hectacre property and contains dormitories, parking, camping area, classroom for classes and training and other basic services sufficient for up to 40 people with a sense of adventure, a desire to explore the area and learn, firsthand, about the rural community life. Designed for people that are looking for an alternative and environmentally responsible getaway. The CEDA utilizes innovative elements of Experiencial Education like the (Plaza of Challenges), the Hands-on Vegetable and Flower Garden, Environmental Education Workshops with a variety of activities such as: hiking, mountain biking, camping, safari photography, and flora and fauna observation tours.

Situated in of the most beautiful and well preserved areas of the Sierra de Santa Rosa, at the CEDA you will have the opportunity to learn about some of the family traditions of the area as well as the work that they carried out to conserve the natural resources such as: alternative renewable energy systems, sustainable agriculture, use of medicinal and edible plants.

We offer a wide range of services such as: guided eco-tours, tourism activities for the more adventure-minded, tours of the various communities, camping, environmental and community oriented volunteer work.

 

Experiential education activities in the Plaza of Challenges to strengthen the abilities of the participants.

 

Minimal impact camping, rural tourism and direct contact with nature.

 

Team work, environmental and community oriented volunteer work in which you can get to know the beauty of the Sierra de Santa Rosa.
